On healthy closures

I have an unpopular opinion
As appalling as it may seem
I believe that every closure is healthy
Even if it is difficult to wean

The end of a relationship may seem brutal
An untimely layoff may bring gloom
But it is life’s way of telling you
That new beginnings need room

A broken heart or an empty account
May seem like a devastating fate
But at that point, there is nothing left to lose
You can start afresh with a clean slate

So next time you reach a closure
Thank life for ending your rut
Dream big and bold because you are a winner
You know it in your gut!
