Call it optimism
Positivity or wishful thinking
In this day and age
It is ever shrinking
It plays a huge role
In my life
Yet going blindly into it
Has been a strife
Wishful thinking is incomplete
Without the right effort
It is essential to do your best
Or risk end up getting hurt
To achieve my goals
Optimism has been key
But I worked equally hard to get there
Because nothing comes for free
