Many years ago
I was at a crossroad
Chose logic over heart
And eventually got bored
I knew I had to switch
Tough as it might be
I had to gain momentum
To slingshot and be free
I had to put my money where my mouth is
And chase my dreams with intent
That is when I let go off a career
Which would otherwise seem god sent
With the aim to pivot
I started learning from scratch
Although scary, the joy it got me
Had absolutely no match
I rise each day
Knowing that I am in the right
Life reinforced a valuable lesson
There is no gain without a fight
