Finding beauty in chaos

When I go to school
I leave behind a static room
But what transpires in my absence
Is absolute zip, zap, boom!

When I enter the room
After a godforsaken day
It looks just the same
But is it? Who’s to say?

I’m sure at least a speck settled somewhere
I’m sure my plant grew by a bit
It may not seem chaotic
But my room did anything but sit

The open blinds let the sun in
That disinfected the air
The towel dried during the day
The one I used for my hair

Even with all the chaos
The room looks so unhatched
Because coming home at dusk
All the eyes see is beauty unmatched
